Used correctly I think it could be awesome. However, the far majority of instances I have seen used it just seems like one more thing to keep people form doing their jobs. Between Twitter, blogs, facebook, classmates, myspace… et al. I wonder how much time is wasted during the day. Again, I can see used properly all of these things can be good but rarely are. Your arguement that “Twitter does not make you a good communicator” is spot on. A truly good commuincator can use any of the sites I mentioned above well, and a bad communicator cannot even write a good email. The best use I have seen is from of the web cartoonist that twitter about the process and prgress of the work they create. I’m sure there are many more godd examples of a good application of it out there as well. To be blunt I really don’t car ethat someone is watchting a video on youtube or that they had Sushi for lunch. I think our problem Stuart is we may be too old to appreciate Twitter? It seems all thise folks that use it are at least 5-10 years younger than me.BTW, love the new look of the site even though you did it a while back.BarryB

Stuart, I totally agree with your article. There are plenty I have signed up for and understand but just don't care. The cool thing about today's world is there are multiple ways to connect and things are not dependent on one site or technology.I'm glad that you stepped up and voiced your opinion and I know Anthony appreciated it.

Very well said!

Nothing wrong with not caring about some social web 2.0 site.
