There are a number of reasons I’m stoked but there are two main ones at the moment.

First and foremost is to do with a project (of sorts) that I’ve been lumbered with. I caught up with an old school chum last year and after a few beers and much memory seeking we decided it’d be a cool idea to try and organise a reunion of our old alma mater.

That we has become me but I’m thoroughly enjoying the challenge of tracking down some 56 people or so that I haven’t spoken too, or had any knowledge of for over 28 years.

Anyway, I’ve been running this blog with a spare URL I have lying around of spiltwine.co.uk (actually it was initially used for the christian drama group I helped to create and co-lead) to co-ordinate and update all those involved. Nothing fancy, just a basic WordPress site. Well anyway, yesterday I managed to re-locate my old best buddy from school … so w00t number one.

The second one is to do with the church’s ecommerce site – it’s not complete but it is so close to it that I am happy to announce the URL … or at least the temporary URL it is running on at present.

Gates of Praise Christian Bookshop

Once it has been finalised, which should be in the next few weeks now, and all the stock loaded into it then the shop URL will be reduced to www.gatesofpraise.co.uk and the trailing /catalog will be dropped.

I’d be happy for any of you to take a look, test it, let me know of any issues you spot or have. Additionally, if you want to see the initial template on which it was created, then pop on over to this page .
