I’m not certain I know what I want here or even what I’m looking for.
However and looking at it another way, in my professional life if I need additional support I know whom to turn to or where to find it and failing that I can always ask my manager and it is then his responsibility to help me find what I need. I know how I want to protect my own and my family’s PCs.
I know what software I trust (and how this changes over the years) and what can be a resource hog. I know how often I want to scan my PC for malware, rootkits, etc and then I know that those I support aren’t as technically aware as myself and often I need reconsider what I use to protect them and then wonder if I am going far enough or too far? Sometime close on two maybe even three years back I was stood at the back of the Church I attend and wondered what was I doing? What was my ministry, what was my desire, what was my motivation, where was my love?

I was just over at Dean Peters blog – Heal Your Church Website – and have to 100% agree with his post “How to lovingly respond to Christian spam” – go take a look for yourself it has a great list of tools you can use to persuade friends, family, etc not to send their latest joke, picture or chain email …..

Whenever I pop over to somebody else’s blog I always want to know the answer to certain questions. What’s their experience, what are their qualifications (not necessarily paper based) and what drives them. Additionally when I visit a tech blog where the owner is involved in IT support for a Church I always want to know what they support. (more…)
