As previously mentioned, one of my roles is in arranging for the websites to be created. This includes all the pre-brainstorming about requirements, determination of a budget, finding a developer and being the technical go between for a non-technical staff.
Unfortunately the go between role sometimes ends up being a hand holding exercise – this has included explaining that a mockup is not an interactive model, that the information on it is not accurate but that the data is purely indicative of what goes where. What is accurate is the layout, the design, where the menu(s) go and so on …
In short this has reminded me of a lesson – don’t presume that everyone else knows what I know.
Anyway, enjoy the mockup. I like it but with one small reservation and thankfully, even the powers that be like it. I can now look forward to its release which is still planned to be in the next few weeks.
